The Linda Lindas at Paradise Rock Club
The Linda Lindas brought their electrifying "No Obligation" tour to Boston's Paradise Rock Club on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, delivering a high-energy performance that captivated an enthusiastic, all-ages crowd. The Los Angeles-based punk quartet—Bela Salazar, Eloise Wong, Lucia de la Garza, and Mila de la Garza—continue to prove that punk isn’t just alive and well, but thriving in the hands of a new generation.
This was truly a multigenerational affair, with fans as young as five and as old as eighty packed into the storied rock club. The inclusive vibe was undeniable as the band celebrated community, defiance, and joy, creating a welcoming space for longtime punks and newcomers alike.
Kicking things off was opening act Pinkshift, whose fiery set set the tone for the night and primed the crowd for the main event. When The Linda Lindas finally hit the stage, the energy in the room exploded.
They tore through a powerful setlist that included “Don’t Think,” “Cuántas Veces,” “Nothing Would Change,” and “Nino,” with Eloise Wong’s fierce vocals and Mila’s machine-gun drumming leading the charge. A standout moment came during “Lose Yourself,” where the band paused to introduce themselves and swap instruments mid-song, showcasing their multi-talented dynamic.
The crowd bounced along to “Excuse Me” and the infectious “Stop,” while “Oh!” and their breakout hit “Racist, Sexist Boy” drew some of the loudest singalongs of the night. A highlight was their cover of Green Day’s “When I Come Around,” which felt both reverent and totally reimagined through their raw, youthful lens. “All in My Head,”the cathartic anthem, leaving the audience buzzing with adrenaline and admiration.
This stop on their 2025 North American tour not only highlighted how far The Linda Lindas have come since their viral breakout but cemented them as torchbearers of a new punk wave—one that’s inclusive, emotional, fun, and unapologetically loud. At the Paradise Rock Club, they didn’t just play a show. They started a riot of joy.
