The Hasty Pudding Theatricals Announces Jon Hamm As 2025 Man Of The Year; 101 Damnations Marks 176th Production
The Hasty Pudding Theatricals will honor the legendary Jon Hamm at the 58th Man of the Year celebration. Hamm's impact in television, film, and animation across genres and archetypes makes him a quintessential figure in entertainment. Performances in the decade's biggest productions like Fargo, Landman, Top Gun: Maverick, and The Morning Show, to his breakout Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe Awarded role in Mad Men, cement Hamm as the indisputable choice to receive this year's award.
Hamm will join a long list of renowned past recipients, including Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro, Harrison Ford, and Samuel L. Jackson. The celebrations honor Hamm's range and truly unique portrayal of characters like the viperous 'Sheriff Roy Tillman' on FX's Fargo and the bubbly 'Gabriel' in Amazon Prime Video's Good Omens.
The Man of the Year festivities will occur on Friday, January 31st. The Pudding will host a celebratory roast and present Hamm with the Pudding Pot at Farkas Hall, the Pudding’s historic home in the heart of Harvard Square since 1888. Afterward, Hamm will attend a preview of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals’ 176th production: 101 Damnations. The modern Pudding Show has evolved into a spectacle beyond anything ever envisioned by the founders of the original secret society. Every year, the Pudding produces an original, entirely student-written and composed, pun-filled musical extravaganza. 101 Damnations follows goody-two-shoes Claire Ickle-Eror, who has been condemned to Hell due to what she believes was a typo. Hijinks ensue as Lucy Fur plots to expand Hell and Claire seeks to escape.
