Around the corner from Union Square in Somerville, tucked away on Summer Street, is Bloc Café. The uniqueness of this café is the variety of experiences offered in just one place. Order a latte and bring your favorite book to the way back and camp out near the gas fireplace. Enjoy the coziness that the old bank vaults offer, this seats one or two coffee lovers and also doubles as a private office. Sit by the window and people watch until your heart's content or, in the summer, enjoy the fresh air while sitting on the expansive patio.

Bloc is serious about their coffee. Sourced from Intelligentsia, a large independent roaster known for quality, out of Chicago. In addition to the quality beans, the staff is always pleasant, friendly and helpful. The menu ranges from bagels and lox to breakfast burritos. There are sandwiches, more breakfast dishes, and a host of pastries. Some dishes offer a Middle Eastern or Thai influence for guests with a more exotic pallet. Enjoy the delicious coffee, the array of menu choices and ambient mélange offered at Bloc Café.
