When you are in Davis Square from 7 to 7, Diesel Café will happily take care of your coffee needs and dietary necessities, as it has been doing for the last 25 years. This staple of the community serves all the usual pastries, plus breakfast and lunch. Sample from the menu of a variety of egg dishes, an enticing breakfast burrito, the ubiquitous avocado toast and my favorite, the vegan club.

Enjoy a window seat while drinking your specialty coffee provided by Intelligentsia, a Chicago based roaster, which I am finding more and more in the greater Boston area. You’ll find that Diesel supports the local art scene, sit along the side wall and take in the always changing canvases while enjoying your pressure free hang. For more intimate seating, take one of the coveted booths toward the back, if you are so lucky. Diesel is a fine café preparing great food and excellent coffee in a kickback setting.
