Boston Calling's Berklee College of Music Takeover

Boston Calling Music Festival announced a partnership with Berklee College of Music to showcase student talent and jazz performances at the festival's indoor arena. Seven Berklee students will have the opportunity to add the coveted festival to their resumé and grab the attention of Boston music lovers, a fiercely loyal group.

Berklee students and alumni have a prominent history with the festival, securing spots in each year's main lineup. Notably, Berklee alums and popular indie-pop band Lucius will return to perform at Boston Calling 2025. With the festival marking one of the city's most beloved yearly traditions, it seems only natural that they team up with a college contributing to Boston's flourishing local music scene.

“Boston Calling is a cornerstone of our city’s vibrant arts scene and now a treasured annual tradition," said City of Boston Mayor Michelle Wu. "The festival’s dedication to highlighting local talent makes it a perfect stage for Berklee’s exceptional musicians, offering students a unique opportunity to share their artistry with new audiences. Berklee has long been at the forefront of shaping the next generation of musicians, and I’m excited to see these stars take the stage this May.”
